Kilgour, French & Stanbury Ltd
&
Bernard Weatherill Ltd

These world famous tailors have shared premises since 1969, originally in Conduit Street, then Dover Street and now Savile Row. The separate identities of these two companies has been retained and each business employs its own cutters and tailors.

TROPHY Kilgour, French & Stanbury has an international reputation as one of the world's finest tailors. The company has its origins in the firm of T. & F. French, founded in 1882, which by the beginning of the 20th Century was already revered as one of the top tailoring houses of the West End of London.

In 1970, the cloth merchant Holland and Sherry acquired Kilgour, French & Stanbury & Bernard Weatherill. The company's international distribution network helped to develop franchises for the bespoke division in Japan and the United States of America as well as propagating our design expertise worldwide.

The two tailors persist with the finest craft traditions and are members of the Master Craftsmen's Association. Every item of clothing we make is hand tailored. Specialists are used for each garment: a three piece suit, for example, would involve a coat maker, trouser maker, waistcoat maker and finisher, 4 different tailors in all, and should any alterations be required, a fifth.

We take great pride in what we do; our art is our perfection.
